Dark Chocolate For Me!
I'm sure that all of you know that dark chocolate is better than milk, but did you know it also....
- Lowers blood pressure
- Is full of antioxidants (Antioxidants gobble up free radicals, destructive molecules that are implicated in heart disease and other problems (skin damage etc.)
-Aids in good digestion
- Improve circulation
- Improve blood vessels and prevent heart disease
- Is used to treat anemia, kidney stones and poor appetite(:
- Acts like a cannabinoid to promote relaxation.
(Cannabinoids are substances that mimic marijuana. The chemical in marijuana that makes people "high" (THC) - binds to certain receptors in the brain. The anandamide in chocolate can bind to the same receptors, producing a "high.") WEIRD!
- Trigger the brain's production
- Dark chocolate is said to help prevent cavities
- Helps inflammation or what causes acne..
- Is right there with the health benefits of green tea
- Fights stress
- Fights premature aging
What is it about dark chocolate? The answer is plant phenols -- cocoa phenols, to be exact. They are found in green tea,red wine, and super- berries!
So whether your using chocolate as midol, giving it for Valentines, or just for a yummy treat ...reach for dark!

wow Simi you are smart.
Isnt it also a weight loss supplement..cause thats what I use it for...wait...
Hi I stumbled across your blog through Lacey's. Just thought I'd tell you that you're right about dark chocolate! But- It's not like the kind you usually eat. The kind of Dark Chocolate that really does all that stuff is the pure stuff, without added sugars and things- Not like Hershey's or regular candy. But I'm sure eating Dark chocolate candy is better that milk chocolate candy. Also to "Jaesi" above... You actually can use it as a weight loss supplement! A lady that I did the Mrs. Utah pageant with eats it at every meal and she's a fitness instructor! So you're on the right track! haha... Anyway- Glad I stumbled across your blog...
